Albertans are showing up in huge numbers to talk about the future of our public health care system and those who support LPNs are right there with them.
At today’s Friends of Medicare townhall with Dr. Paul Parks, we collected three full pages of signatures from people who believe LPNs deserve respect and recognition of being nurses. And that was without using the full half hour before the event even started when everyone was settling down!
We don’t want to miss that opportunity again.
🌟 We need volunteers for upcoming townhalls across Alberta
Friends of Medicare and Dr. Paul Parks are hosting Urgent Conversations in communities across the province over the next two months. These events bring together patients, families, frontline workers, and community members to talk honestly about what’s happening in health care, and they’re full of people who want to take action.
That’s where you come in.
✍️ Your role: Collect pen‑to‑paper petition signatures
It’s simple, meaningful, and incredibly effective. Volunteers help by:
Arriving 30 minutes before the townhall begins
Approaching attendees as they settle in
Gathering signatures for our petition using this petition form
Helping amplify the voices of LPNs across Alberta
Every signature strengthens our advocacy and shows decision‑makers that Albertans stand with us.
📍 Next townhall: Airdrie — Tomorrow
If you’re in or near Airdrie and can spare an hour, we’d love to have you join our volunteer team.

Send us a message or comment below, and we’ll connect you with everything you need, including scripts, petition sheets, and tips for engaging with the public.
Together, we can make sure LPNs are heard loud and clear at every stop on this tour.
Your voice. Your care. Your community. Let’s make the most of these conversations.
