The Canadian National Nursing Week is next week (May 12-18, 2025), and the theme this year is: The Power of Nurses to Transform Health.

Let's take a moment to think about what the letter Nurse Blake read and the theme of our own nursing week.

Nurses transform health every single day. We show up even though our bodies and our spirits are broken. Unlike other types of nurses in AB, LPNs are blatantly exploited while doing the same if not more, simply because we "lack a degree." So let's be our own heroes. Let's demand what we deserve - the proper raises and recognition that reflect our work!
